Senegal

Senegal, officially the Republic of Senegal, is a country in West Africa bordered by Mauritania in the north, Mali to the east, Guinea to the southeast, and Guinea-Bissau to the southwest. Senegal also surrounds The Gambia, a country occupying a narrow sliver of land along the banks of the Gambia River. Senegal’s economic and political capital is Dakar, covers a land area of almost 197,000 square kilometres (76,000 sq mi) and has an population of around 16 million.

Le Sénégal, officiellement la République du Senegal, est un pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest bordé par la Mauritanie au nord, le Mali à l’est, la Guinée au sud-est et la Guinée-Bissau au sud-ouest. Le Sénégal entoure également la Gambie , un pays occupant une étroite bande de terre le long des rives du fleuve Gambie.
